Nina has been talking up a storm! She has been able to say mama for about 2 months, but no other word - just high pitched squeaking. Until yesterday. We have been working on dada but she was saying baba. (I realize how ridiculous I sound right now). Baba opened a new can of worms and today was babblecity! Baba, dada, gaga, yaya, yaaaaa, yeeee.....
Oh, and she ate dogfood. Can't wait to see what she does tomorrow!

Funny
As you can see, Nina is a pretty funny gal. Some funny things she does:
loves to lick the door mat, tries to "pick" off the moles on my face/arms, loves the songs "head, shoulders, knees&toes" and the HokeyPokey.
She also had a "funny" dinner tonight - pureed cauliflower mixed with vanilla yogurt. It was actually pretty good! I plan to use this book in the future :)

Auntie Annie
We had a fabulous weekend with Auntie Annie. She came all the way from Milwaukee just to hang out. And we she comes to hang out, thats what she does - no agendas or schedules - she is here to visit and spend quality time. I love that! And she is the easiest person to have around - she is so laid back! I was thinking back and it was almost exactly a year ago she came to visit when I was pregnant - what a difference a year makes!
Friday we went to Barrio while Chad stayed home with Nina. It was fun to talk married lady talk and listen to awesome music. Saturday we slept in, had breakfast, and of course went shopping :)
Saturday night was girls night - wine, movie (highly recommend it), more talking, more wine and sleeeep. I looove sleeep! Annie was such a big help too - Nina loved playing with her so much and I was able to get other stuff done. She had new games and a new laugh even came out of Nina!
We had a relaxing breakfast on Sunday, walked to the park, and then it was time for Auntie Annie to say so long.
Just until Friday :)

The next viral youtube video
Nina has been dancing up a storm! Everytime we sing, her toys play a song, or she hears music on TV/radio she starts bobbing up and down or rocking back and forth.
Friday night she turned on the CD player by herself. It kind of shocked her at first, but then she got down to the beat. We were fortunate to catch it on video, but I can't get it to upload on blogger so you will have to check it out on youtube (search Nina Suzanne 55105). Its kind of a dark video (titled Hip Hop), but turn up the volume and sway along with Nina - the girls got rhythm :)
